ALTRAN strives to provide service for all of Alger County. However, our county is approximately 1,000 square miles, or roughly the size of the state of Connecticut. We will do our best to meet your needs, but demographics and cost do play a factor when scheduling rides. Outlying areas require 48 hours’ notice when scheduling rides and are subject to availability.
Our hours of service are as follows:
- Sunday-Thursday: 6:00 a.m. – 12:00 a.m.
- Friday-Saturday: 6:00 a.m. – 2:00 a.m.
- Monday-Friday: 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Saturday: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

We have an on-call phone for after hours (906) 202-0245, the driver will try to provide immediate transportation, but standing/work appointments receive preference. Using the on-call phone to arrange immediate transportation will result in a full fare charge-no discounts or half fares. Please use the on-call phone for same day cancellations after hours. Failure to provide a one-hour notice will result in a “no-show” charge. This number is not to be used to schedule future rides beyond the current day.
